Almost two-meter pysanka made in Uzhgorod
Such a huge pysanka was made by Greek-Catholic believers of the Blessed Virgin’s Nativity Church, in the neighborhood Dravtsy in Uzhgorod. Three weeks ago the sketch of the Easter egg was created and then they got down to business: metal frame was woven by vine and decorated with colored fabrics. The diameter of the work is 3 m, height -170 cm, width - 110 cm. The pysanka was presented yesterday, April 8, but the official opening will take place on Easter. Believers say it's the only pysanka of this magnitude all over the Carpathians.
