Near, Uzhgorod border guards detained “post-Soviet” illegals

Over the past weekend border guards of the post "Onokivtsi" of the border guard department "Uzhgorod" of the Chop detachment twice detained migrants from the former Soviet Union.

First, about six o’clock in the morning, after the triggering of means of border protection, the operational investigative group with a dog detained a man and a woman. A man and his wife, who were detained half a kilometer away from the state border with Slovakia, said border guards that they were the citizens of Russian Federation, natives of Chechnya. However, as in most such cases, they had no documents to confirm their statement.

The next detention was made late at night. An unidentified man also tried to cross the Ukrainian-Slovak border, but he failed to bypass alarm system. After that, a search dog led border guards to the offender. The man without documents, who said that he was a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, will have to spend some time at the Chop border guards.

The offenders were delivered to the Department of the Border Guard Service "Uzhgorod" to clarify the circumstances of the offense and make administrative and procedural documents. Decision on the futher fate of all detainees will be taken by the court.
