In May National Joint Stock Company (NJSC), "Naftogaz Ukrainy" and the company RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST, Germany) signed a framework agreement for the sale of natural gas.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the agreement creates a legal basis for the possible supply of natural gas for "Naftogaz of Ukraine" by RWEST and, at the same time does not have obligations of the parties on the implementation of compulsory purchase of the energy resource.
Prices, supply volumes, as well as the obligations of the parties for the supply of natural gas will be determined by contracts after they have been agreed and signed by both companies.
Note. The company RWE Supply & Trading GmbH (RWEST) is one of the largest companies in Europe involved in the electricity and gas industries.
RWEST is part of a holding company RWE AG, which is a strong gas transportation system operator in Europe. It owns pipelines of 23,000 km long and underground gas storage with the capacity of up to 7.4 billion cubic meters. For the needs of European countries RWEST annually buys and supplies about 50 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
