On April 14, the Transcarpathian Regional Philharmonic Society invites all music lovers to the "Ukrainian Watercolors."
The program with the poetic title will be presented at the IV International festival "Music without Borders" by known Lviv performers, winners of international competitions Lidia Futorska (violin) and Serhiy Khorovets (accordion). This combination of musical instruments at first glance may seem unusual, but this duo has managed to cause admiration of music lovers. The concert starts at 18.30.
Lidia Futorska has repeatedly won the title of laureate of international competitions in Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Italy, Croatia. In addition to solo performances, the violinist also practices ensemble and chamber ones. Serhiy Khorovets is the chief conductor of the Rivne Regional Philharmonic, where since 2011 he has been heading the Academic Chamber Orchestra. In his works he pays most attention to the music of the Baroque and Romanticism epoch. The creative tandem of two brilliant artists has existed for more than five years.
The title of the program speaks for itself: Lidia Futorska and Serhiy Khorovets try to convey to the audience the works of our great compatriots – Mykola Lysenko, Maxim Berezovsky, Yuriy Meytus and other famous Ukrainian composers. Come to our concerts, and you will see for yourselves that music has no borders!
