Mukachevo University maintains relations with Europe

The Czech delegation led by the hetman of the Vysocina region Jiri Byehounek visited Mukachevo State University, the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional Council informed. They discussed the prospects of cooperation between Mukachevo State University and Ecole Polytechnique of the city of Jihlava. The Chairman of the Regional Council Ivan Baloha, Mukachevo Mayor Zoltan Lendyel, Mukachevo district council chairman Ivan Mykhailo also took part in the event.

The Acting Rector of the university Tetyana Shcherban and the Vice Rector Volodymyr Hoblyk told that there are more than 5.5 thousand students enrolled in the university majoring in 13 specialties, it employs 400 teachers.

Tetyana Shcherban said that the university seeks to establish contacts with European partners. This refers to the exchange of students, internships at the two universities, faculty exchange.

Jiri Byehounek noted that in autumn they may discuss the specific steps for establishing partnerships of higher education in Mukachevo and Jihlava.
