Mukachevo joins the European Mobility Week

Mukachevo is the first city in Ukraine which was registered as a participant in this year’s European Mobility Week 2016. 
The main goal of this project is to improve the quality of the natural and urban environment and thus to promote the quality of life in the region, to promote and encourage the use of more environmentally friendly and healthy modes of transportation in the city, alternatives to cars, such as, for example, bicycles, scooters, electric cars, cars with hybrid engines, public transport, and just walking.

The theme of this year’s EMW is "Smart and sustainable mobility – an investment for Europe."

The slogan is "Smart mobility. Strong economy."

Within the EMW 2016, from 16 to 22 of September, various activities for different age groups of participants – preschool children, school children, students – are planned to be held in Mukachevo. In particular, round tables, cycling races and relays, themed drawing contests, presentations of environmentally friendly cars, cycling quests, etc.
We invite all those interested in cycling to contribute to development of the program of activities and to actively participate in citywide promotional activities within the EMW
