The first and so far the only in Ukraine Festival of Strength took place in Mukachevo. Representatives of various strength sports – from arm-wrestling to weightlifting – were competing on a specially equipped sports ground.
Athletes from Ukraine (including participants from Transcarpathian region), and also from Serbia, Belarus, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland came to find out who is the strongest.
By the way, a representative of the Hungarian weightlifting team Laszlo Szelesi showed that you can play this sport in any age, because this athlete turned 74 this year.
The highlight is the Festival of Strength was the European Cup for strongmen double teams. 16 giants, representatives of the national teams of Ukraine, Slovakia, Serbia, Belarus, showed incredible strength and endurance "toying" with 240 kg logs, 360 kg wheels and so on.
