Moskal asks to discuss the issue of opening a new checkpoint at the meeting Ukrainian and Hungarian prime ministers (PHOTOS)

The information about the meeting of Hennadiy Moskal with residents of V.Palad on the opening of a border crossing point with Hungary was posted on his official website.

Back on March 28, 2013, in Budapest, prime ministers of Ukraine and Hungary signed the Declaration of intent on the comprehensive development of road border crossing points between the two countries. The declaration provided, in particular, for the opening of the checkpoint Velyka Palad (Vynogradiv district, Transcarpathian region, Ukraine) – Nagyhodos (Hungary). Last week, residents of V.Palad organizged a rally to draw attention to the issue of the intergovernmental agreement three years ago.

– Opening of a new checkpoint does not require large financial expenses – Hennadiy Moskal, who met with residents of V.Palad and reviewed the area near the border, says. – The 5-kilometer stretch of the road leading to the checkpoint can be repaired at the expense of local budgets. However, the fundamental decision to open a new crossing point can be taken only at the intergovernmental level. Therefore, I’ve sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman asking to include this issue to the agenda of the upcoming meeting of the prime ministers of the two countries.

Recall that official visit of the delegation of Ukraine headed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine V.Groysman to Budapest will take place on November 24-25.
