More Transcarpathians die in road and water-related accidents

During the first three months of this year, 15 Transcarpathians have died in road accidents, while during the same period of the last year – only 5. Already 16 people (although it is not even swimming season yet!) have died of drowning and submersion, in 2012 the figure was less than half. However, in the first quarter of this year, there have been only slightly more suicides – 27 vs. 25 in the last year. And far fewer deaths from accidental poisoning and the effect of alcohol (6 vs. 17), fire and smoke (6 vs. 19), pre-conceived murder (7 vs. 14).

More information about the external causes of mortality in Transcarpathia can be found in the press release of the Main Department of Statistics in Transcarpathian region.
