210 thousand and 2 hryvnias were raised today in Uzhgorod at the charity race "Running for David". Almost two and a half hundred Uzhgorod residents – adults and children – took part in the marathon. Representatives of the Uzhgorod City Council also took part in the charity event.
Members of the organization "Do Good, Bro" planned to hold the event earlier, when all quarantine restrictions were in force. They decided not to waste more time, because the funds for treatment are urgently needed, so they chose the format of a healthy event outdoor. All the money raised today will be given to David’s family.
As we have already reported, 2-year-old David Dovhanych from Uzhgorod was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor with malignant growth. The boy has already undergone two complex operations on the brain, the second operation must be paid for by the end of August. The total amount is € 46,000. Part of the amount has already been paid, but most of it is yet to be paid.
