More than 1.5 thousand passengers have transported their bicycles in converted cars of the “Ukrzaliznytsia”

Since May 20, passengers of regional trains Lviv – Mukachevo and Lviv – Uzhgorod (№ 827/828, 829/830) have had the opportunity to transport their bicycles in specially converted cars of the regional branch "Lviv Railway" of the "Ukrzaliznytsia" PJSC. More than 1.5 thousand customers have taken advantage of this service.

For the convenience of passengers travelling to holiday destinations with their bikes, railway workers dismantled 28 seats in the cars of an electric train. In the converted cars, there are 18 places for bicycles and 88 seats for passengers.

The popularity of the service increases on weekends, holidays, and pre-holiday days, because these are routes to holiday destinations in Lviv and Transcarpathian regions (Slavske, Lavochne, Skolye, Mukachevo, etc.).

Transportation cost depends on the distance and ranges from 2.50 UAH to 4.20 UAH.
