Sheep were sent off to meadow at the Synevyr pass this Sunday, June 10. They commemorated those who keep the ancient highland craft. The words of gratitude to highland workers were told from the stage, the certificates and gifts were awarded and certainly the demonstrative pasture sheep, sheep milking and making cheese. It was this process along the traditional sheep breading campfire ignition, which embodies the wishes of a successful summer to Polonyna shepherds and it is the celebrations’ culmination, since they work with sheep and make cheese in the same way as it was made by the mountain workers.
