Member of Parliament Vasyl Petyovka once again appealed to the head of the Transcarpathian regional administration Olexander Ledyda, now with categorical demand to immediately begin repairing.
In 2012 the state budget provides almost 60 million UAH for road repair but for some reason the regional authorities do not hurry to use this money, wasting time of good weather.
In his appeal, the deputy said that the problem with bad state of Transcarpathian roads requires immediate resolution.
"State allocated nearly 60 million to repair roads of our region, but almost nothing has been done to resolve this issue. Also, I demand to immediately begin legal use of funds and bringing roads to good condition in Rakhiv and Tyachiv district, since 8 million was allocated for that purpose. Therefore I ask you to immediately begin repairing roads in these areas, without waiting for elections or rain fall – because then roads will serve to spring at most and the money will be wasted. I also request to control the quality of the repair and use of public funds for assigned purposes. Especially I require to ensure that taxpayers’ money is not stolen" – quote from the text.
