“MARLBORO”, “LM”, “WINSTON” and “PARLIAMENT” did not get to Germany

Yesterday, December 24, officers of the Transcarpathian customs office, at the customs post "Maly Berezny" found 216 hidden packs of tobacco products in a vehicle "Mersedes-BENZ" driven by a citizen of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian was passing customs control in the "red corridor" lane. The citizen was asked to fill out a customs declaration in which he specified his passport data, information about the vehicle and the presence of 250 euros.

As a result of advanced customs inspection of the truck and the driver’s personal belongings, they found domestically made cigarettes hidden from customs control, not declared during the oral survey and not indicated in the customs declaration. The cigarettes were hidden in the spare wheel in the luggage compartment of the vehicle. Among the found tobacco products, there were 29 packs of "MARLBORO GOLD", 46 packs of "MARLBORO", 23 packs of "LM RED LABEL", 65 packs of "LM BLUE", 37 packs of "WINSTON" and 16 packs of "PARLIAMENT AQUA BLUE". 

The citizen of Ukraine admitted that the tobacco products were his property. In the explaination he noted that he was transporting the cigarettes concealed from customs control across the customs border of Ukraine to Germany with the intention to sell for profit.

Thus, the citizen committed acts aimed at moving tobacco products across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control.

These actions have signs of violation of customs regulations referred to in Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Currently, the report on violation of customs regulations has been drawn up, the cigarettes and the spare wheel was that was used for illegal tramsportation were confiscated.
