Management of the Calvary: “We have not lost anything metalic. For now”

Yesterday, uzhgorod.in published photos showing possible metal thieves at the Calvary cemetery: "5-6 Roma people were carrying a lot of metal – mostly twisted metal rods and wire, and some bags. They were not even hiding their tools and instruments – picks, hammer, shovel" – an eyewitness wrote.

Today we called the director of the utility that is in charge of the cemetery, Anatoly Sukholov to ask if anything was missing at the cemetery.

"We conducted the inspection. No visible damage was noticed, nothing essential was missing. For now", – Anatoly Romanovich said.

"Although our today’s raid has not proved any thefts I must say, this is a big problem: they constantly try to steal something from us, and lately constantly trying to dig up something between graves – old bars, wires – they dig like moles. It is a disaster. We turn to the police for help – to prevent theft from the cemetery", – Sukholov complains.
