As costs of vacation are rising, everyone wants to visit new places that are just beginning to appear on travelers’ maps. In this regard, the portal VirtualTourist compiled a list of cities to visit now. The list is focused on Europe.
Notably, the first place went to Lviv. The publication calls it a modern business hub, and portal users unanimously declared that this city is the best to visit at this time. Among the advantages of the city, they mentioned an "incredible" compactness of the central part, which makes it an ideal place for weekend tour. Tourists are advised to visit the Market Square, the Opera and the Night Lviv Festival.
The second place in the VirtualTourist list went to Hamburg. Experts point out that this city in northern Germany on the Elbe River for too long has been in the shadow of Berlin. With its diversity, it has been able to attract more and more tourists each year, and it combines all the charm of a small town and a metropolis on the water.
Hamburg is followed by Vilnius, whose main attraction is the largest in Eastern and Central Europe old town in the Baroque style.

Zagreb is on the sixth place in the ranking. The next in the ranking is Valletta, a city 93 km south to the Italian island of Sicily. The capital of Malta is a World Heritage Site and was recently named the European Capital of Culture for 2018.
VirtualTourist gave the eighth place to Budapest. The capital of Hungary is famous for its romantic architecture, monuments with panoramic views, and a spa culture.
Baltic countries are also represented in the list of places to visit now by Riga. Old Town attracts visitors for its quaint squares and cobbled streets.
Sarajevo closes the top 10 of European cities to visit at this time. VirtualTourist notes that while this city is more known for the conflicts of the 1990s, but it is time for tourists to learn its cultural history and to see a successful reconstruction.
