Lavrishchev to Shukhevych, Krasnodontsi to Blystiv. Renamed streets in Uzhgorod

Here is the list of the new names of several Uzhgorod streets, which were renamed under the de-communization.

 Some of them since recently have been bearing the names of the new Heroes of Ukraine – fighters in the Russian-Ukrainian War, also called ATO – rather than Soviet figures and events.

Thus, in particular, Kotovsky street now bears the name of Dmytro Georgiev – one of the first killed Uzhgorod soldiers.

Let the memory of the true Heroes lives in people’s hearts, and also be honored in toponyms.
