Landfill near Uzhgorod was surveyed by the management

An unscheduled field meeting of the Commission on Technogenic and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations regarding the state of the solid waste landfill near Uzhgorod took place today. The meeting was attended by the first deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Ivan Duran, the press service of the Uzhgorod City Council reported.
Following the results of the meeting, the commission resolved that:
– the City Council Capital Construction Department, together with the "Kovatekhbud" LLC, shall continue the work on reclamation – embanking around the perimeter of the landfill first map;
– the same department and enterprise together with the department of complex design of the Tisa River Basin Water Resources Administration shall record the actual landfill reclamation work as of October 29 this year;
– the Department of Capital Construction and the Department of Complex Design of the Tisa River Basin Water Resources Administration shall make adjustments to the design estimates for the reclamation of the territory of the existing landfill to raise the design mark levels of the waste storage pyramid;
– for the uninterrupted storage of waste in winter, the director of the utility company "KTP" should provide the landfill with sand and salt mixture for maintenance of the access road to the waste storage pyramid.
