Khust teacher, who was taking money from students for grades, will be judged

The indictment on corruption offense by a Khust teacher, who was taking money from students for grades, has been forwarded to court.

The investigation revealed that the head of the correspondence department of Transcarpathian forestry engineering state higher education institution "National Forestry Engineering University of Ukraine" was regularly receiving undue advantage from students for facilitating in passing tests and examinations.

In particular, last year December 20, the teacher was detained by police officers, and in his office, they found about 7,000 UAH received from students.

The teacher demanded and received this money from external students for passing tests, examinations and for missed classes. 

Thus, after the arrest and notification of teacher on suspicion of having committed a criminal offense under Part 4 of Art.368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of unlawful benefit by an official), this fact was investigated, and the materials of the investigation were forwarded to Khust district court to decide on the further fate of the teacher – the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of Transcarpathian region reported.
