These footage of Khust was posted online by Yaroslav Tarkanii as a promo of one of the oldest Transcarpathian cities adorned with the local fortress, – the Mukachevo.net informs.
Yaroslav says: "The castle was built in the XII century to control the roads leading to the salt mines. The castle protected the local people from the numerous attacks of foreigners. Among the local people, there were rumors about horrible things that were happening behind its walls. The legend of the Count Dracula’s crypt was especially creepy.
But what happened to the castle? You must know!"
The ruins of the fortress are still standing high over the city and can be seen almost from every part of the city. At the same time, an incredible panorama of Khust opens from the hills of the fortress.
