During the international forum "Export to the EU", the Regional Council Chairman Ivan Baloha held a series of bilateral meetings with its participants. In particular, Ivan Baloha met with Volodymyr Mitin – the deputy chief designer of the "Motor Sich" (Zaporizhzhya), Serhiy Demyanov – the head of the corporate rights and investment projects department of the same company, and Oleksandr Martynenko – the General Director of the "VIST Group-Technical Center" (Kryvy Rih).
During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues. Among them – on cooperation in the engineering industry, which in our region now includes 29 different enterprises and entities. Our region has a considerable interest in cooperation with the "VIST Group-Technical Center", which creates and implements new ideas. As noted by Oleksander Martynenko, the company is doing everything to become a worthy representative of Ukrainian business in Europe.
Also, they raised the issue of investment attractiveness of Transcarpathia through its geographic location, infrastructure, environment, favorable climatic conditions, developed service and trade sector, labor mobility and willingness of local authorities to cooperate.
According to Ivan Baloha, Transcarpathia borders with four EU countries – Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Poland, so we have inadvertently integrated into them at the level of family, neighbor and partner relationships. Today they are all set to economic cooperation. Therefore, main partner countries in foreign trade of the region are, of course, the European Union countries.
Ivan Baloha also said that the way of Ukraine should lie through strong economic projects in the region. At present, the EU focuses on increasing significance of territories, communities and their initiatives. And they need to build an effective platform for mutually beneficial contracts.
Respected guests thanked for the warm welcome, interesting conversation and an invitation to cooperation, which, they assured, will start soon.
