Italian brands from "Gucci", "Dolce Gabana", "Longchamp" "Massimo Dutti", which were being imported to Ukraine without declaration and taxation, were taken to the warehouse of the Transcarpathian customs
At the customs post "Tisa" on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, Transcarpathian customs officers in one of the so-called "Italian buses" once again found collectible branded items that the driver tried to bring into the customs territory of Ukraine avoiding declaration and taxation.
Returning from Italy to Ukraine in a minibus "Mercedes-Benz", a 49-year-old resident of Rohotyn district of Ivano-Frankivsk region during customs control in the "red corridor" declared 6 roadbags with personal belongings. Orally, he denied carrying any other goods, including commercial ones, subject to mandatory declaration and payment of relevant taxes.
During a detailed inspection of the luggage compartment of the vehicle, customs officers found 3 packages of foreign goods on the floor. In particular: women’s sneakers "Gucci", women’s shoes "Giuseppe Zanotti", leather wallet "Dolce Gabana", genuine leather backpack "Longchamp", leather belt bag "Longchamp", bracelet "Longchamp", 9 pieces of women’s jackets "Massimo Dutti", and a subwoofer "Sonos".
According to the Ukrainian, he was transporting the above-mentioned goods from Italy to Ukraine instead of another driver, who was not let into Ukraine by Hungarian customs officers, so he did not recognize them as his property.
Therefore, the inspectors drew up against the Ukrainian a report on violation of customs rules under Article 472 Customs Code of Ukraine. The further fate of the brands will be determined by the court.
