Ukraine ranked 78th position in the ranking of the best countries to be born in. According to UNIAN, "The Where-to-be-born Index" list, developed by the subsidiary "Economist Intelligence Unit" (EIU) of "The Economist" journal, includes 80 countries. Thus, our country is practically on the penultimate place.
The first three most desirable countries to be born in are Switzerland, Australia and Norway.
Ukraine is even behind the CIS countries, that are represented in the ranking: Azerbaijan – 70th place, Russia – 72 place and Kazakhstan – 74 place.
Authors of the rating claim that in the assessment of the situation many factors are taken into account, including: assessment of personal happiness of citizens, welfare and safety of life, trust in public institutions, health care and family values - in total 11 core indicators.
