Is everyone taken for fools in Irshava dsitrict? Instead of tender on catering services for children, a family meeting had been made

Transcarpathian regional office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has opened a case against the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Irshava DSA (hereinafter – the Customer), due to violation of laws on protection of economic competition in public procurement.

Thus, the customer purchased services of catering for students (hereinafter – Tender). A private entrepreneur was recognized as the winner upon five lots.

However, it was found that the winner of Tender had control relationships with others. Under the law, the Customer shall reject a bid when it is provided by participants who are related parties. The related party in particular may be individuals or members of their family who may control the participants. In this case, a husband, wife and son were participating in the Tender.

The case is currently being investigated.
