Its route covers nearly 100 settlements of Ukrainian Transcarpathia and Hungarian regions. Among the participants – Slovak, Ukrainian, Hungarian and Romanian bike amateurs – will overcome more than 500 miles – informs the press service of the regional council.
The event aims to promote the development of tourism in general and new tourist destinations in particular, cooperation between sportsmen and the local communities of Ukraine and Hungary. In places of bicycle race stops will be held meetings, participant’s greetings, gift giving and other cultural events. Cycle race will start on August 13 from the Hungarian town Zakhon to the village of Volovets.
It will continue further to Veretskyi pass on August 14, and from there through the settlements Zhdenievo, Poliana, Svaliava, Chynadiyevo, Mukachevo and on August 15 – through Beregovo, Astey of Ukraine to Berehshuran of Hungary. Then through the towns Sharoshpotok, Miskolc, Eger, Dondosh and will end on August 20 in Budapest.
