Insulin from the International Committee of the Red Cross is already in Transcarpathia

Today, the region received three types of insulin: MIXTARD in amount of 1,500 cartridges, PROTAFAN 5000 in amount of 5,000 cartridges, and AKTRAPID in amount of 4,000 cartridges. These types of insulin are used by 800 Transcarpathian patients, of which 650 are in cartridge forms. The cost of these medicines is about 1.7 million hryvnias.
This is not the first humanitarian aid for insulin-dependent patients that Transcarpathia has received recently.
For reference: there are 5,885 insulin dependent patients registered in the region (5,623 adults and 262 children), patients with diabetes mellitus. All of them are listed in the single register of insulin dependent patients and receive insulin under the system of full or partial reimbursement, in accordance with the List of these categories of patients with diabetes referred to in paragraphs 1-9 of the Annex to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dd. March 23, 2016, No. 239 "Some issues of the reimbursement of the cost of insulin drugs."
