Increase of water levels is expected on the rivers of the region

Responsible services have prepared the equipment for water pumping

Due to warming and significant rainfall, in the next 10 days, raise of water levels is expected on the rivers of the region. In this regard, specialized services were instructed to monitor weather conditions and prepare the necessary equipment to pump water, if necessary, – the press-center of the RSA reported. 

This was announced at the nationwide conference call chaired by the Acting Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Vilkul. Transcarpathia was represented at the meeting by the head of the Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda.

He assured that as of February 13, the heating season in all settlements of the region is going on normally. Thus, 568 pre-schools, 670 schools, 59 hospitals, 2,817 residential buildings are heated. As for payments for consumed energy, it should be noted that consumers paid for the natural gas used in 2013 at 104%. In January 2014, the rate of payment was 84%, heating utilities paid 100% of the amount.

Regarding the arrangement of heating points, the office of the Emergencies Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region have arranged 3 heating points, provided help to 756 citizens. Currently, 2 heating points are deployed on mountain passes. The traffic on public roads on the passes is ensured.
