Beauty and joy! Although today’s emotions on the Independence Day were mixed with bits of sadness, today’s holiday was the most striking in the history of Uzhgorod. The city has never seen such a number of patriotic attributes!
The residents, dressed in embroidered clothes and decorated with various national symbols, gathered in the city center. In high spirits they left Theater Square with a hundred meter yellow-blue ribbon and marched through pedestrian bridge, Petofi square, Tolstoy street to Taras Shevchenko Monument at the People’s Square.
