Return of St. Martin
A celebration in honor of the city patron saint- St. Martin was organized in Mukachevo. Festival was held for the first time, but apparently not for the last.
The patron saint of the city on Latorytsya River - St. Martin - personally participated in the celebration and came to the main square of the city on horseback. St. Martin's Day in Mukachevo was the evidence that Transcarpathians are truly Europeans.
The celebration of St. Martin;s Day was attended by hundreds of students for whom this event will be unforgettable, especially because they handmade their own lanterns for the holiday. Fire show, battle of knights, theatrical narration of the deeds of St. Martin and kids with lanterns - all these things make St. Martin's Day the brightest holiday of the region.
