In Vynogradiv district, an illegal sale of meat was exposed

An entrepreneur, who was selling meat for almost 100,000 UAH more than competitor, illegally received preference at the tender – the prosecution office wants to annul the decision of the committee in the court.

The Prosecutor of Vynogradiv district conducted an audit at the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Vynogradiv district administration for compliance with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On Public Procurement" in 2014.

It was established that the Tender Committee of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Vynogradiv district administration, during the tender for the purchase of "poultry meat, frozen", did not comply with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Public Procurement".  The winner of the tender was the offer of an entrepreneur, who offered meat for 858,000 UAH, instead of an entrepreneur, who offered it for almost 100,000 UAH less – 754,000 UAH.

It is unknown why, out of all the tender offers, they chose the least economically viable one. But, apart from this, the prosecution revealed a number of other violations and consequently filed to the Commercial Court of Transcarpathian region the claim to invalidate the decision of the Tender Committee of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Vynogradiv district administration on the results of the procedure for procurement of "poultry meat, frozen" at 858,000 UAH.

 And to invalidate the contract on the purchase of meat entered by and between the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of Vynogradiv district administration and the entrepreneur.
