In Vynogradiv district, a woman is suspected of brutal beating of a child

Last night, a one-year-old boy from the village of Pidvynogradiv with a diagnosis of closed head injury, brain contusion, fracture of the left frontal bone, convulsions was delivered to the intensive care unit of Vynogradiv district hospital.  

According to his 17-year-old mother, an unemployed Roma, her son, while being at home alone, two days ago allegedly stumbled over the doorstep of the room and fell head down to the floor. The mother decided to go to the doctor only two days later when the child’s condition became critical. The boy was sent for treatment to the regional children’s hospital. Doctors say his condition is very serious.

Law enforcement officers preliminary classified the criminal offense under Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (grievous bodily harm).
