In Vynogradiv district, a former people’s deputy is accused of assault on a man

The prosecutor of the Vynogradiv department of the Beregovo local prosecutor’s office approved and sent to court an indictment against the former member of the Verkhovna Rada. The 51-year-old man is accused of committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional minor bodily injury).

According to the materials of the inquiry, the accused, in April 2020, hit a dispute opponent twice in the face. The victim’s bruises and hemorrhages were classified by expert as light bodily injury.

The pre-trial investigation in the form of an inquiry was completed by the inquiry unit of the Vynogradiv police department.

Currently, the indictment has been sent by the prosecutor to the Vynogradiv District Court for consideration on the merits, the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office in Transcarpathian region reported.
