By the order of the mayor, a special commission to prevent a sharp rise of unemployment during mass layoffs has been formed in the regional center. The commission was established pursuant to the relevant government regulations.
The commission will analyze the causes of decrease in the number of fired workers, consider the possibility of providing financial assistance to businesses, were massive layoffs are expested, in the form of soft loans, deferred payments to local budgets, and examine the issue of conversion or change of ownership of the enterprise.
The commission is headed by the Deputy Mayor Oleksandr Kovacs. The commission also includes representatives of employment services, pension fund, labor and social protection departments.
