In Uzhgorod, the police arrested an unemployed who caused a bank 5 million hryvnias loss

Yesterday, the police officers arrested the offender, who is suspected of misappropriation of property. It has been established that in February 2012, a 45-year-old unemployed resident of Chop together with unidentified persons forged the decision of Uzhgorod district court dated 15.02.2012 in the case of recognition of title to the building of the "Swedbank" JSC, located in Uzhgorod on Shvabska street, and the adjacent plot of land, after which he registered the said property in his name, thus taking over the bank’s assets totaling 5 million hryvnias.  

The man subsequently legalized the income from the misappropriated property by re-registering the title under the contract of donation to a 29-year-old unemployed resident of Mukachevo. The offender was arrested, now he is in custody.
