Uzhgorod city district court completed the trial of criminal proceedings against three residents of Transcarpathian region over committing a series of robberies and thefts.
These people as an organized criminal group in the period from March to June 2010 committed a number of robberies and thefts from places of residence in Transcarpathian and Lviv regions, which caused considerable damage to the victims.
Public prosecution of the case was supported by the prosecutor of Transcarpathian region and the court proved the guilt of the members of the organized group in the commission of these crimes.
Therefore, Uzhgorod district court sentenced the organizer of the criminal group to 8 years imprisonment, and the accessories to 5 and 4 years respectively – informed the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Transcarpathian region.
