On September 8, at 9:13, the Rescue Service of Tyachiv district received a report of a fire in the territory of a woodworking enterprise in the village of Teresva. The paint shop, located on the second floor of a two-story building, was burning.
The local fire department, stationed in the village and two crews of the 8th State Fire and Rescue Unit of the city of Tyachiv were immediately sent at the scene, on Zhukov street. Subsequently, they were joined by local fire teams of the villages of Solotvyno and Neresnytsia.
Firefighting was difficult due to a large fire load (a large amount of flammable materials), as well as due to rapid spread of the fire over the wooden structures of the building. At 09:55, the firefighters managed to contain the fire, and at 10:30 to completely eliminate it. The firefighters managed to save from destruction two adjacent shops. In total, 5 vehicles and 17 rescue workers were engaged in fire extinguishing.
The fire destroyed the roof of the paint shop over the area 336 square meters and the structures of the second floor.
Nobody was injured or killed. The cause of the fire and the material damage caused are being established.
