An accident with victims occurred last night in the village of Shyroky Luh in Tyachiv district. A 17-year-old boy got behind the wheel of the motorcycle "Viper." The vehicle was without license plates, and the lights were off.
The driver was carrying a passenger, a 28-year-old relative. They were driving in the dark toward the village of Novoselytsia, and the lights on the motorcycle were off. The motorcyclist tried to overtake a tractor which was moving ahead. On the oncoming lane, he collided with a car that was moving in the opposite direction.
As a result of the accident, the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle ended up in hospital with fractures and other injuries. The driver’s blood sample was taken to determine alcohol content.
The police warn citizens: do not drive unregistered and defective vehicles, especially while being intoxicated. Remember that motorcycle is a source of danger.
