Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine caught on bribes the head of the department – state registrar of the department of registration of real rights to real estate and state registration of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs of one of the district state administrations in Transcarpathian region.
The special service operatives found out that the official had organized a mechanism for obtaining illegal benefits from citizens for assistance in registering real estate.
Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine documented the fact of extorting 500 US dollars from a businessman for registration of commercial premises.
Law enforcers arrested the suspect in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine at the workplace when she was receiving the second part of the bribe in the amount of two hundred and fifty US dollars.
The official is charged with committing an offense set forth in Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Investigative and operational activities to bring to justice other persons likely to be involved in unlawful activities are ongoing.
The measures to expose and block illegal activities were taken under the procedural control of the prosecutor’s office.
