In Transcarpathia, the number of coronavirus patients has increased, no fatal cases have been reported over the past 24 hours

During the last day, April 15, 333 people sought emergency medical care, 9 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 7 were suspected of having COVID-19.

This was reported by the director of the department of health care of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov.

105 samples of biological materials were collected for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing and sent to the virological laboratory for examination.

6 persons were confirmed to have COVID-19, including 3 medical professionals.

Over the past 24 hours, 9 people with symptoms of acute pneumonia have been hospitalized in health care facilities, including 7 with suspected COVID-19. Of those, 2 patients were diagnosed with COVID-19.

Overall, as of 9:00 am on April 16, 2020, 116 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 23 are health care workers.

There have been no reported fatal cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, the Transcarpathian Regional Public Health Center informs.
