Officers of the State Border Guard Service continue to carry out measures aimed at combating smuggling activities. Often, organizers of the illegal activity at the border exert fierce resistance.
It is evidenced by yesterday’s attack on the district inspector of the border guard service department "Bogdan" of the Mukachevo detachment.
Unknown persons drove up to the border guard during the performance of his duties and, without explanation, made a shot from a traumatic weapons at the soldier and fled from the scene. As a result, the bullet hit the soldier in the leg.
The police and prosecutors were informed about this incident. It was decided to register in the URPI a criminal proceeding under Part 2 of Art. 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional infliction of mild or moderate injuries to a law enforcement officer or his close relatives in connection with the performance of official duties by such officer).
