In Transcarpathia, saffrons have blossomed in the “Old Village” in the mountain village of Kolochava

Crocus or Heuffel saffron is the name of a very delicate flower that creates a fairy tale in the foothills of the Carpathians, – the Opinion informs.

It has already become one of the main tourist attractions of Transcarpathia. The rare plant has covered the yard of the skansen (open-air museum, – ed.) in Kolochava, known as the "village of ten museums", with a violet carpet. There are several well-known populations of this early spring flower in Transcarpathia, but it is here that the flowers are perhaps the most decorative, because they make a nice combination with the atmosphere of the "Old Village" museum. This population of crocuses is called "Kolochava saffron valley" and it is well preserved. And near the village, there are large fields covered with the tender flowers.
