Law enforcement officers of the Beregovo Department found illegal hemp plantation. The plants were sent for examination. The investigation has been initiated.
Illegal plantations of plants similar to hemp were found by Beregovo criminal police. Police found 13 hemp plants in a field near the village of Heten. Law enforcement officers found that out a 44-year-old resident of Beregovo had planted and was looking after the plants. The man had a hoe and a canister.
The plants were seized and sent for examination.
The Beregovo police initiated a criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Art. 310 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, illegal planting or cultivation of hemp, punishable by a fine of up to fifty non-taxable minimum incomes, or arrest for a term of up to six months, or restraint of liberty for a term of up to three years.
