In Transcarpathia, forests are under special protection

Since the beginning of the week, raid teams have been watching the public forests of Transcarpathia to prevent unauthorized felling of trees. The raid group to combat poaching in the forests was established at the Transcarpathian Regional Forest and Hunting Range Administration under the direction of the first deputy head of the Forest and Hunting Range Administration – the chief forester Igor Kotsur. According to the chief forester Igor Kotsur, the raid group patrols forests around the clock to identify violators of forestry and hunting laws. The raid teams consist of the special department of forestries and the forest protection and internal audit department of the Transcarpathian Regional Forest and Hunting Range Administration. So, they are conducting special activities to strengthen the protection of public forests in Transcarpathia.
