In Transcarpathia bad weather is expected – the rivers will overflow their banks

In Transcarpathian region a storm warning has been declared. This was announced by the KP with reference to the press service of the regional emergency department of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region.

– According to the weather forecast, at night and in the morning of 16 December in the region there will be heavy and wet snow, on the plains sometimes with rain, sometimes very heavy precipitation, sleet, snow storm in the mountains. Southwest wind will strengthen up to 15-20, in the highlands to 30-35 meters per second – referred to in the report.

December 16-17, in the region’s rivers the rise of water levels is expected.

– Increasing of water levels is expected in the lower and middle reaches of the tributaries and on the Tisa river between Dilove and Vylok up to 0.3 meters, in the lower reaches of the Latorica and Stara rivers up to 1.5 meters, on the Borzhava river from 1.5 to 2.5 meters – added the MOE.
