In Transcarpathia, a woman tried to bribe border guards to let her illegally take two sons to Italy

At the checkpoint "Tisa", a 41-year-old citizen of Ukraine tried to bribe border guards to let her take her children abroad without proper documents.

Going to Italy with two sons born in 2002 and 2007, she tried to bribe with 100 euros the border guards, who had denied her and her children exit from Ukraine. During the passport control, the border guards of the Chop detachment found out that the minor citizens of Ukraine did not have properly executed documents – notarized father’s declaration of consent to take them abroad, or other relevant documents, such as deprivation of parental rights, etc.

That is why they were denied exit from Ukraine, and the mother decided to settle the issue illegally, namely, by bribe. The border guards did not accept the illegal offer and reported the incident to the management.

In order to establish the circumstances and make a legal decision on possible signs of a crime envisaged in Article 369, Part 1 of the CCU, "Offer, promise or giving of unlawful benefit to an official", the border guards reported this incident to the Uzhgorod police department.
