In Transcarpathia, a foreigner was set on fire in a disco bar

In the village of Dovhe in Irshava district, during a conflict in a disco bar, a local resident poured gasoline on a man and set him on fire. The victim with serious injuries is in intensive care. The suspect in the crime was detained. The case is under investigation. 
Today, on January 8, around 5 am, Irshava law enforcement officers received a report that a 25-year-old Latvian citizen had been delivered to the intensive care unit with face and hand burns.
As the police found out, the 25-year-old resident of Riga was injured in a disco bar in the village of Dovhe. The foreigner was staying with his relatives in the village.
In the bar, the foreigner and a 23-year-old resident of Dovhe had a conflict. Shortly after the altercation, the local resident poured on the man a liquid, probably gasoline, and set him on fire. After that he fled. As a result, the victim sustained injuries to both hands, torso, face and respiratory path burns. The Latvian is currently in the intensive care unit of the Irshava district hospital.
The resident of the village of Dovhe suspected of committing the crime was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC. Criminal proceedings were opened over the incident under Article 115 (2) and Article 115 (1) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attempted murder). Law enforcement officers are now establishing all the circumstances of the case, the cause of the conflict and interviewing witnesses.
