In Rakhiv district, a mudslide brought logging residues (PHOTOS)

In Transcarpathia, elimination of the aftermath of flooding in Rakhiv district is ongoing.

Nobody was killed or injured as a result of the disaster.

13 vehicles and 35 workers from the SE "Rakhiv Forestry and Hunting Range" are engaged in clearing of mountain stream beds.

The director of the SE "Rakhiv Forestry and Hunting Range" Volodymyr Prystupa informs:

"The work is ongoing, employees of the forestry and Transcarpathian rescuers are cleaning the yards. It is not raining now. The water level dropped by half. Currently, the work for mud removing is being carried out in the Leshu tract; in the Breboya tract, the passage under the bridge is being cleared and the stream channel is being formed. The passage reached only 1.5 meters high. Gravel from under the bridge is taken for pouring on forest roads. In the Kvasny tract, the river was clogged with old logging residues from Golovach, Margitu and Radomir tracts. The 2.5-3 km long road to the Goverla is completely destroyed," – Volodymyr Prystupa added.

Recall that on Sunday, June 26, in Rakhiv district, the abnormal heavy rains caused a mudflow.
