In Mukachevo talked about the results of celebrating the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus

The press center "Panorama" held a press conference with the Bishop Theodore, Archbishop of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod. It was devoted to the celebration of the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kyivan Rus in this jubilee for the "Panorama" year.

The event is extraordinary, relevant, very contemporary and, to some extent, has historical significance as the editorial staff are preparing for the 70th anniversary of the release of the first issue of its predecessor – the newspaper "Prapor Peremohy."

In his well-reasoned and persuasive speech, the Bishop Theodore noted the importance of the baptism of Kyiv Rus, an important role of Cyril and Methodius educational activities, the historical significance of Kyiv Prince Volodymyr’s involvement in the baptism of Rus-Ukraine and the activities of Mukachevo Diocese Due in relation to the celebration of the 1025th anniversary.

The guest of the press center answered numerous questions from the audience, and further conversation slowly turned into a friendly discussion on the value of spirituality, the role of the media in today’s information-saturated world.

At the press conference, they agreed on a future closer cooperation between journalists and the Orthodox diocese in terms of education, raising public awareness of spirituality, faith, morality and so on.
