In July, the Government plans to sign an agreement that will unblock the airport “Uzhgorod”

According to the Yevropeiska Pravda, the Infrastructure Minister Vladislav Krykliy wrote about that in his Telegram.

According to the Minister, the signing of the agreement will finally allow the airport to properly receive and send planes.

"We have completed all the necessary internal procedures. The next step is to sign the agreement itself. We plan to do it in July," – Krykliy said.

It was reported in December last year that Ukraine and Slovakia were approaching the unblocking of the airport "Uzhgorod". On December 18, the Infrastructure Minister Vladyslav Krykliy said that negotiations with the Slovak side had resulted in the draft agreement.

Krykliy then stated that the Ukrainian party would ensure the completion of internal approval procedures as soon as possible and hoped for the same actions of the Slovak party.

As you know, the runway of the airport "Uzhgorod" ends on the border with Slovakia: the planes take off and land via the airspace of Slovakia.

An intergovernmental agreement between Ukraine and the Slovak Republic is needed for the full operation of the airport "Uzhgorod".
