On June 6, at about 1:30 a.m., Berehove Police Station received a call from Berehove CRH, in which doctors reported that they had got a man who had been beaten near the shop "Prima" situated on Mocholivska street in Beregovo.
As law enforcement officers found out the victim was Chaba Peter, born in 1966, a member of the Transcarpathian Regional Council of the 5th and 6th convocations, a member of the party UMDSZ (Hungarian Democratic Party of Ukraine), a Berehovo resident.
The man, returning home with his wife in his own car "Porsche Caen", due to the damaged rear right wheel had to stop near the shop "Prima". At this time a dark car “Audi” drove up there. Four masked men went out from it and started beating him with wooden bats. One of the attackers also hit the wife of the victim.
As a result, Chaba Peter was taken to Berehove CRH, but after a medical examination and first aid he refused from hospitalization.
To identify and arrest the criminals the police launched the operational plan "Interception".
Chaba Peter is a Chairman of the Board of Directors at several companies: LLC "Fruit Master Foods", "Boulevard" and "Cotnar-M".
